Anti-dumping of stainless steel coils

On February 20, 2025, the Korea Trade Commission issued Announcement No. 2025-3 (Case Investigation No. 23-2024-4), making the first sunset review final ruling on anti-dumping of flat-rolled products of stainless steel originating from mainland China, Indonesia and Taiwan, China, and recommended that anti-dumping duties continue to be imposed on the products involved for a period of five years; at the same time, price commitments were reached with some companies (see the attached table for details). The implementation of the measures shall be subject to the relevant taxation announcement of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea. The Korean tax numbers of the products involved are 7219.12.1090, 7219.12.9000, 7219.13.1090, 7219.13.9000, 7219.14.1090, 7219.14.9000, 7219.22.1090, 7219.22.9000, 7219.23.1090, 7219.23.9000, 7219.24.1090, 7219.24.9000, 7219.31.1090, 7219.31.9000, 7219.32.1090, 7219.32. 9000, 7219.33.1090, 7219.33.9000, 7219.34.1090, 7219.34.9000, 7219.35.1090, 7219.35.9000, 7219.90.1090, 7219.90.90 00, 7220.11.1090, 7220.11.9000, 7220.12.1090, 7220.12.9000, 7220.20.1090, 7220.20.9000, 7220.90.1090, 7220.90.9000.
On September 25, 2020, South Korea launched an anti-dumping investigation on stainless steel coils originating from mainland China, Indonesia and Taiwan. According to Order No. 865 of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of South Korea, South Korea will impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the above-mentioned countries/regions for a period of three years from September 15, 2021, of which mainland China is 23.69% to 25.82%; at the same time, no anti-dumping duties will be imposed on companies that reach price commitments. On May 17, 2024, South Korea launched the first sunset review investigation on stainless steel coils originating from mainland China, Indonesia and Taiwan.
