Angel Bar

Carbon steel angle bar is a long strip of steel made of carbon steel with an L-shaped cross-section. The lengths of the two sides can be equal or unequal. Its main components are iron and carbon, and it may also contain a small amount of manganese, silicon and other elements.

Description

Carbon steel angle bar is a long strip of steel made of carbon steel with an L-shaped cross-section. The lengths of the two sides can be equal or unequal. Its main components are iron and carbon, and it may also contain a small amount of manganese, silicon and other elements.
Classification
Classification by side length:
Equal angle steel: The lengths of the two sides are equal, and the specifications are expressed in side length and thickness, such as 50×50×5mm.
Unequal angle steel: The lengths of the two sides are unequal, and the specifications are expressed in long side, short side and thickness, such as 100×75×8mm.
Classification by production process:
Hot-rolled angle steel: Produced by hot rolling process, with rough surface and high strength.
Cold-rolled angle steel: Produced by cold rolling process, with smooth surface and high dimensional accuracy.
Classification by use:
Ordinary angle steel: used for general buildings and structures.
High-strength angle steel: used in occasions requiring high strength, such as bridges and heavy machinery.
Process
Hot rolling process:
After the steel billet is heated to a high temperature, it is rolled into an L-shaped section by a rolling mill, and then cooled to form a hot-rolled angle steel.
Cold rolling process:
The hot-rolled angle steel is cold-rolled to further improve the surface quality and dimensional accuracy.
Surface treatment:
Galvanizing: Improve corrosion resistance.
Painting: Enhance rust prevention and aesthetic effects.
Features
High strength: Carbon steel angle steel has high strength and hardness.
Good processability: Easy to cut, weld and drill.
Low cost: Compared with materials such as stainless steel, the price is lower.
Poor corrosion resistance: Easy to rust and requires surface treatment.
Use
Building structure: Widely used in building frames, support structures, etc.
Machinery manufacturing: Used to manufacture brackets, bases, etc. for mechanical equipment.
Bridge engineering: Used for support and connection parts of bridges.
Power engineering: Used for transmission towers, substations, etc.
Furniture manufacturing: Used for furniture frames and support structures.
Carbon steel angle steel is widely used in construction, machinery, bridges and other fields due to its high strength, easy processing and low cost. According to specific needs, angle steel with different specifications and surface treatments can be selected.
